Dr. Tarak Nandy is currently Head of the Computer Science Department and Assistant Professor at the Institute of Computer Science and Digital Innovation (ICSDI), UCSI University, Malaysia. He earned his B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, India, and his Ph.D. in Computer System and Technology from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, cybersecurity, intelligent transportation systems, IoT, and generative AI. He has published extensively in leading Q1/Q2 journals including IEEE Access, IEEE Sensors Journal, and Computer Communications, as well as in Scopus-indexed international conferences. He has served as Principal Investigator and researcher on multiple Research Excellence & Innovation Grant (REIG) projects at UCSI University, covering lightweight authentication for VANETs, deep learning–enabled ontology construction, and smart transportation for sustainable cities. He is actively involved in professional services as a member of several IEEE councils, and a reviewer for journals and conferences, with rich experience in teaching, academic administration, and global research collaboration.
